Doug Ford and the Ontario PC Government Are Removing Driver License Stickers and Fees Entirely – Saving Drivers $120 per Year

Following today’s news that Doug Ford and the Ontario PC Government are removing Driver License Stickers and Fees, saving Ontario drivers up to $120 per year, the Ontario PC Party has issued the following statement:
STATEMENT FROM THE ONTARIO PC PARTY
“The people of Ontario remember the days of Kathleen Wynne and her right-hand man Steven Del Duca.
“Year after year, taxes went up and fees increased.
“Whether it was the cap-and-trade carbon tax, hiking the aviation fuel tax, new beer and wine taxes, or increased fees on driver licenses, fishing and hunting licenses, camping licenses, and court applications, the list went on and on.
“Life was harder and more expensive under the Liberals.
“In fact, Steven Del Duca was Transportation Minister when driver license fees and stickers skyrocketed, costing drivers in Ontario hundreds of dollars of their hard-earned money.
“Under the leadership of Doug Ford, your PC Government is putting money back into the pockets of Ontarians. We’re going to keep working to make life more affordable for the people of Ontario.”

Sept. 1, 2012 – $82
Sept. 1, 2013 – $90 (9.76 percent increase from previous year)
Sept. 1, 2014 – $98 (8.88 percent increase from previous year)
Sept. 1, 2015 – $108 (10.20 percent increase from previous year)
Sept. 1, 2016 – $120 (11.11 percent increase from previous year)
Northern Ontario
