New School Building in Stouffville

The PC government has given York Catholic District School Board approval to tender a new school building in Stouffville for students from kindergarten to grade 12. The new building will include Blessed Chiara Badano Catholic Elementary School and St. Katharine Drexel Catholic High School.

The $37.1 million investment will provide a new, quality learning environment for the students of Stouffville, as well as new child care rooms. This project is part of the province’s capital investment program to support students with better learning spaces.

“I am excited to announce our government is continuing to make much needed investments in education in our community,” said Paul Calandra. “This new school is a very welcome addition to our town and will enhance quality education for our children.”

Ontario’s investment in new and updated schools will create the foundation for a modern learning environment for thousands of students across the province.

Highlights of the new school construction include:

  • 1,333 elementary/secondary student spaces.
  • 49 new licensed child care spaces.
  • 3 new child care rooms.

The new school building will be located at 55 Meridian Drive in Stouffville.
